Who We Are

Dr. Jon's Adventures

The idea behind Dr. Jon's Adventures started many years ago when it's founder, Jon Kedrowski, was in high school.  After exploring several different career options in college and getting a Ph.D in environmental geography, weather, and climate, Jon realized that his true passion was in exploring mountains and many wild places while sharing those remote and beautiful places with others.

Through adversity, connection, and sheer joy, mountains teach us all how to grow from a mental, physical, emotional, and very personal standpoint. They bring us together and enrich our lives. When we return to the real world we often reminisce of going back into an adventure because those experiences shape us for the better and change us forever. This is the essence of what we do at Dr. Jon's Adventures.

Jon met Aaron Jenniges at Valparaiso University on the basketball court, and they often worked out together, trained together, and went through typical college life's ups and downs while creating a shared passion for personal growth  through hard work and life's great adventures.  In the years since then, they teamed up to create outdoor adventures together that followed that same theme: personal growth and life lessons.

In 2019, they began a new journey as business partners to bring the same type of adventure and experiences to you, tailored to your own desire to seek out new goals and objectives that push your own limits and embody the human spirit that can change your life forever.

Meet Jon Kedrowski and Aaron Jenniges.

Our Mission

Create Memorable Experiences

Through adversity, connection, and sheer joy, mountains teach us all how to grow from a mental, physical, emotional, and very personal standpoint. They bring us together and enrich our lives. When we return to the real world we often reminisce of going back into an adventure because those experiences shape us for the better and change us forever.  We want to share this with others and help change their lives forever.

Inspire Others

Wild places often make us feel grateful and insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Climbing, hiking, skiing, high altitude mountaineering, and endurance adventures create gratitude, and with gratitude you realize that anything is possible for you or others that you impact on a daily basis. We want to help people experience this and in return, inspire others to do the same.

Give Back to Local Communities

Not only do we employ local workers and contract with local agencies in places we travel, who have become our very dear friends and family,  but we have our very own non-profit, the N.O.D. Everest Foundation for which we are constantly working to raise money for local community initiatives in Colorado, Nepal, Pakistan, and other places we work and play.

Help People Achieve Their Dreams

No goal or dream is too big, but a goal without a plan is just a wish. So leave it to us to help you create and execute a plan towards an experience to reach a goal that you will remember for many years to come.

"The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary."

Jon Kedrowski, ski mountaineer, lake ice skating, COlorado

Meet Dr. Jon Kedrowski, the founder of Dr. Jon's Adventures.  Jon has a Ph.D. in Environmental Geography, Weather, and Climate.  He grew up in Vail, Colorado where he has climbed over 1,200 different Colorado peaks, including hundreds of ski descents, skiing each of Colorado's 14,000' peaks and about half of the 637 CO 13ers.

He has climbed 6 of the 7 continental summits, including 7 expeditions to Mt. Everest in 2012, 2015, 2018,  2019, 2021, 2023, & 2024 (twice to the north side in Tibet in 2018 and 2019). One of his favorite summits of Everest came while guiding and coaching singer/songwriter Mike Posner to the top on June 1, 2021.  His training ground has included the mighty Mount Rainier volcano in WA, which he has climbed over 50 times and skied on numerous occasions. He has also led expeditions to Aconcagua (5 times), Denali (3 times), and places like Ecuador, Mexico, and Patagonia. He has led 24 Expeditions to each of the 7 summits over the yearsn and will head to Antarctica in 2026 for Vinson.

In the winter 2021, Jon went to K2 in Pakistan, the world's 2nd highest mountain.  During this brutally cold winter expedition, Jon was part of a team that successfully put members on the summit of K2 for the first time ever in winter on January 16, 2021.  Read more about this expedition on his blog.

Jon is the author of four books: “Sleeping on the Summits: Colorado Fourteener High Bivys”; “Skiing and Sleeping on the Summits: Cascade Volcanoes”; "Classic Colorado Ski Descents", and "Classic Colorado Hikes.". He is also an expedition leader, an adventure coach, PSIA-certified ski instructor, and keynote speaker.  In Jon’s talks, mountains are metaphors for accomplishing goals in life, both professionally and personally.

You will often find Dr. Jon outdoors hiking, climbing, skiing, or even ice skating…with his camera in hand…experiencing the next big adventure.

Aaron Jenniges, Coach, Adventurer, Director of Operations

Meet Aaron Jenniges, the Director Operations at Dr. Jon's Adventures.

Aaron is all slow-twitch muscles, not mechanically gifted, and has no musical rhythm, but he has been blessed with a tremendous amount of compassion, courage, endurance, and patience, aspires to be an I am 3rd leader wherever he is, putting God first, others second, and himself third.

He is passionate about coaching and mentoring others, to share what he's learned in life about setting goals and not expecting instant gratification. He aspires to impart lessons about taking small steps every day, living with a No Off Days” mentality, and being consistent over time.

As Director of Operations, he does everything Jon doesn't want to do, including web development, marketing, invoicing, online coaching, and lead generation. He was also the high school boys basketball coach at Seton Catholic High School in Vancouver, WA for 7 years.

In his spare time outside of directing Jon's operations and coaching basketball, Aaron enjoys long-distance destination bike rides, trail running, and being one of the few adults not on social media.  Unless you count LinkedIn.

He uses his athletic endeavors as opportunities to consistently step through fear and have courage to do things that are beyond his perceived limits, and in the process inspire others to do something they never thought was possible.
